There are many ways you can support Haiti in our Hands. All monetary donations go directly to our twin parish in Chauffard, Haiti. 100% of donations to the Haiti Committee go DIRECTLY to our sister parish. All of our workers are volunteers, and these volunteers absorb the administrative costs of running the committee. That means that we send every dollar you donate to Chauffard for school lunches for students, supplementing teacher salaries, and buying supplies for the medical clinic.
- Give a monetary donation to the Church of St. Michael & St. Peter. Hit the yellow “donate” button and select “Haiti Committee” when filling out the online form. Your donation is tax deductible.
- Volunteer at one of our frequent fundraisers in Syracuse, New York.
- Create your own fundraiser. Here’s a list of ideas that some of our supporters have tried:
- Coffee Morning – invite your neighbours round for a cup of coffee and scone
- Run a Marathon – get your trainers, get fit whilst helping Haiti
- Car Boot Sale – sell your unwanted items on a Saturday morning
- Cake Sale – getting baking and sell your treats for Haiti
- Book Sale – sell your books that you no longer read
- Raise awareness of the plight of the Haitian people amongst your family & friends.
